**Residential garbage containers must be smaller than 96 gallons.**
Mattresses can be disposed of on regularly scheduled garbage collection day only if the mattress is completely wrapped in plastic.
Carpet can be disposed of on regularly scheduled garbage collection day if carpet is cut into 3 foot sections and secured in rolls with duct tape/rope to prevent unraveling.
and sofas are permitted for disposal on your weekly scheduled garbage
collection day. No special arrangements need to be made. It is suggested
that you do no place the item curbside until very late the night prior
or very early the morning of your scheduled collection to risk being
fined by Code Enforcement or it becoming damaged from the weather.
Sofas that contain metal (for example, sleeper or reclining
features) will not be collected by the garbage company unless the metal
frame is removed. Once the metal frame is removed, the sofa can be
disposed of on your scheduled collection day. The metal frame will be
picked up separately and on a pre-scheduled day. You must call
